Stainless Steel 316 Wire Rope (1x19)

Used as standard rigging on virtually all sailboats, 1x19 stainless steel wire rope is also well suited for guying and push-pull applications where very little bending is required.

Additionally, it has become very popular in architectural applications, such as railings on stairs, decks, and balconies. 1x19 stainless wire rope has more metallic cross-sectional area and thicker wires than either 7x7 or 7x19 constructions, which makes it the strongest, but also the least flexible, of these three common braids.

316 grade stainless steel is the standard high-corrosion-resistant steel for wire rope and cable. It is resistant to many chemicals in the pulp and paper, photographic, food processing, and textile industries.

Type 316 stainless steel wire rope has the best pitting resistance in marine and salt water, and can be used in temperatures up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit. Also available in USA-made.
